Customs: Russia’s wheat exports fall 10% to 3.8 mln tns in October
MOSCOW, Dec 5 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports fell 10% on the month to 3.754 million tonnes worth U.S. $703.5 million, a 9.9% decrease, in October, the Federal Customs Service said on Wednesday.
In January–October, wheat exports fell 28.2% on the year to 26.437 million tonnes and 23.2% to $5.323 billion.
Russia’s wheat imports soared 70% on the month to 11,700 tonnes worth $3.1 million in October and fell 44.8% to 140,600 tonnes worth $33.6 million in January–October.
Corn imports rose 34.3% on the month to 70,000 tonnes worth $600,000 in October and fell 19.5% to 28,700 tonnes worth $94.7 million in January–October.
